Spring Section Meeting Fundraiser: Book Inventory Clearance Sale and Silent AuctioN

Participants at the 2023 Spring Section Meeting will have two new opportunities to support the section while enlarging their library of AMS and MAA Press books. Be sure to bring your check book or some extra cash, and get ready to shop!

Throughout the meeting, the section will be holding a “Book Inventory Clearance Sale” featuring substantially discounted prices on select titles from our display book inventory. While most of these titles are still being published and sold by the AMS under the MAA Press Imprint, the copies in our display inventory were printed prior to MAA’s current publication arrangement with the AMS. All the wonderful content is the same; only the book cover – and price! –  are different. Canvas tote bags and other items bearing the RMS logo will also be on offer as book purchase incentives.

A Silent Auction of more recent MAA Press and AMS books will also take place during Friday’s Reception and Banquet. Again, the same great content, but at whatever price you’re willing to pay. Winners will be announced following the Banquet Talk and pay for their purchases at that time.

All sales will take place on-site (sorry, no shipping), with proceeds to go into the section’s general funds. Credit card or e-payment options may be available, but are not guaranteed at this time. Only one copy of most titles will be available, so visit the MAA/AMS Book Display early!
