Congratulations to our two newest officers!

Voting results are in for the section’s most recent elections – and the winners are:

• Beth Burroughs (Montana State University), who will serve as Section Chairperson-Elect this coming year before moving into the Section Chairperson position next April; and

• Becky Swanson (Colorado School of Mines), who will serve as Section Secretary/Treasurer for a three-year term through April 2026.

Anne Dougherty (CU Boulder) will also join the Section Executive Committee on July 1, for a three-year term as our new Section Representative to MAA Congress through June 2026.

The Nominating Committee and section membership thank all the candidates in these elections for their willing to serve the section.

Thanks also are due to our outgoing officers:

• Dan Swenson (BHSU), who is stepping down as Section Past-Chairperson after serving on the Executive Committee since 2019;

• Mona Mocanasu (MSU Denver), who has served as Section Secretary/Treasurer since 2018;

• Daluss Siewert (BHSU), who served along with Dan Swenson as Program Chair for the recent highly successful Section Meeting in Spearfish; and

• Tracii Friedman (Colorado Mesa), whose term as our representative on MAA Congress will end on June 30.

The section is also grateful to Nominating Committee members John Carter (MSU Denver, outgoing committee member), Mike Jacobson (CU Denver, 2023–2024 committee chair), and Janet Heine Barnett (CSU Pueblo, 2023–2024 committee chair) for their work during this very busy election year.
