The Section is pleased to report that Carol Kuper (Morgan Community College) has has been elected to the position of Section Vice Chair.

The Section Meeting for 2022 was held VIRTUALLY (online), Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23. The meeting was organized by Metropolitan State University Denver and hosted by Hawkes Learning.

​The 19th Annual Pikes Peak Regional Undergraduate Mathematics Conference (PPRUMC) will take place on Saturday February 26, 2022 at Colorado College. Students throughout the Pikes Peak region and beyond are strongly encouraged to present in the areas of mathematics, mathematics education and the history of mathematics. Presentation topics could include the results of classroom or independent study, as well as REU or other research projects. Both research and expository topics are welcome.

The nominating committee is soliciting nominations for our election in Spring 22 of Vice-Chair. The Vice-Chair serves a two-year term, and must be associated with a two-year school. Nominations can be sent to any member of the nominating committee. This leadership position is vital to the organization and operation of the MAA Rocky Mountain Section.

Congratulations to Gulden Karakok of the University of Northern Colorado who has been elected into the Chair Elect position.

The section is happy to announce that we have a new section website: the one you are reading right now. The new site has a modern design which should make it more accessible (and better viewable on small screens), and will be easier to maintain moving forward.

The first ever Virtual Rocky Mountain Section Meeting was held on Friday, 4/16 and Saturday, 4/17.
